OMT Announces Executive Role Changes

Winnipeg, MB – OMT Inc. (TSXV: OMT) announced today that Marieke Wijtkamp has resigned from her role as
President and Chief Operating Officer to pursue new opportunities. Bill Baines, currently the Executive
Chairman of the company, will immediately assume the role of (interim) President and CEO. Ms. Wijtkamp will
continue with the company until November 1, 2008 to aid in the transition.

“Marieke has been a key leader at OMT since 2003, and we thank her for her strong commitment and
contributions over several years. We wish her well in her new endeavours”, stated Director Stephen Pumple.
“We are certain that the transition to Bill as our new President will be very smooth since he has been a very
active Executive Chairman since his appointment to the Board in early 2005.”

Mr. Baines brings extensive experience and leadership to the President role at OMT, in addition to his continued
Executive Chairman position. Mr. Baines has led several technology and service organizations, both large and
small, over his 28 year career, including President & CEO of AML Wireless Networks Inc., President & COO of
MTS Communications Inc. (Manitoba Telecom Services), President & COO of Norigen Communications Inc.
and other senior appointments. Mr. Baines is also a past and current member of several other Boards in the
private and not-for-profit sectors.
